Mr. and Mrs. W ally Steiner have moved to their new home in Adrian. Mrs Allen of Caldwell substituted for Mrs. Moore in high school Thursday. Mrs. Jess Norris, Mrs. Simmons and Ruth Hahl went to Boise Thurs- j day. Tom Stephenson. Ray Kelly and Bill Jordan went to Sweet Home, Oregon on a business trip. A card party was held in the Bill Ashfraft home Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Eastmtn of Caldwell visited Mr. and Mrs. Glen Brown Sunday. Mrs. Henry Day, Mrs. K. I. Peter son, Mrs. Frances Defier, Mrs. Henry Moore, Miss Donna Peterson and Rev. Henry Moore attended the meetings of presbytery and presby- terial at K ing Hill, Idaho Thurs day. The Monday afternoon club of the United Presbyterian church en joyed a wiener roast last week on the church lawn after their study period. Mrs. Bill Willis helped in the absence of Mrs. Frances Defter. Mr. and Mrs. Hanson and grand son left last week for their home in American Falls. Mrs. C. M. Tensen suffered a leg fracture last week when the horse she was riding slipped and fell. Mr. and Mrs. Z. Davidson of P ar ma entertained at afternoon tea and cards for the following friends: Mr. and Mrs. Pete Tensen, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Groot, Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Groot of Apple Valley, Mrs. Dick Stam of Oregon Trail and Mr. and Mrs. John Timmerman of Newell Heights. Farmers are planting potatoes In this community. Miss Theresa Jensen of Nyssa called on Mrs. C. M. Tensen Sat urday. Mr. and Mrs. Kris K at have re turned from a trip to Portland, where they visited friends. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Gilmore of Boise called on Mr. and Mrs. Dick Groot last week. Mrs. Jake Van Twisk and Henry were Ontario visitors recently. Mr Hanson, who has been feeding sheep in the Tensen feed lots, ship ped them to Buackfoot, Idaho last week. Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Groot of Apple Valley spent Sunday after noon with relatives of this commun ity. Mrs. Tilley and Linda returned to their home Monday morning, but Mrs Huffman ; remained with her daughter, Mrs. Kygar. Mrs. Marty McKim and daughter and Mrs. Russell Patton, Jr., and children o f Moses Lake arrived for a surprise visit witn the women's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E E. Crock er, Wednesday and remained until Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Byrd Walters and Mrs. Gerald Slippy and sons went to Parma Saturday night to give a surprise party for Mr and Mrs. Ray Franklin on their 31st wedding anniversary. Eleven members of the O. K. K. club attended the Associated W o men's club meeting in the Park community hall Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Koger were business visitors in Boise Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Don Franklin and sons of Boise visited in the Lynn Kygar home Sunday. The O. K. K. club will meet April 19 at the home of Mrs. Harlan Koger with Mrs. Chet Mills and Mrs Lynn Kygar assisting. Roll call will be a bulb or plant exchange. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Huffman of Nyssa called on Mrs. Inger Huffman at the Lynn Kygar home Sunday afternoon. Shirley Skinr.er war sick and ab sent from school two days last week. Mrs. Kenneth McDonald attended the county council P. T. A. meeting at Valley View schoolhouse Satur day. Wanda Peutz attended a birthday party for Christy and Tommy G ra ham in Nyssa Saturday at the home of the children’s grandparents, Mr and Mrs. Tom Johnson. Mrs Lee Householder and Mr. and Mrs. Vic Marshall took Diane Schwelzer to Kennewick, Washing ton to her home Saturday and vis ited in the Max Schwelzer home until Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Koger had Sunday dinner in Ontario with their son and daughter-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. L. M. Koger. Mrs. Werner Peutz and Wanda, Mrs. Jesse Ditty and Mrs. Kenneth McDonald shopped ir. Ontario Mon day afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Whitehead of Boise were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Bowen. 8everal dinners were given last week honoring Donald Byers, who left Monday to enter the army. On Thursday evening, Mr. and Mrs. John Bowen were hosts at dinner for the honor guest, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Byers and Betty and Stanley Rogers. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Holmes entertained at din ner Friday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Frank Byers and family and on Sunday evening Mr. an Mrs. F. G. Holmes entertained at a turkey dinner for the Byers family and also Miss Della Shuster of Ontario and Bonnie Kressly. Return From Trip— Mr. and Mrs Emil Paulus re turned Friday from a week’s trip that took them to Portland and down the coast highway to San Francisco. Attend Funeral— Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lovejoy left Tuesday for Clarkson. Washington to attend the funeral of Mr. Love- Joy’s father, who passed away Sun day.
