Oregon for transmission Mails, as second class matter, under of March 3. 1879 Democracy At Work An example of democracy at work, at least on a superficial scale, was exemplified at a concert given by a group of negro singers before a rather small crowd of white folk in the Nyssa gymnasium Tuesday night. From the standpoint of the meeting itself, the ex ample was very much on the surface because it did not put the white man’s belief in racial tolerance to the acid test, but it did show what can be accomplished.
