Mr. and Mrs. Warren came to Nyssa in 18!« from LaOrande They were married at Houston, Idaho April 28, I860 Mr Warren is now 87 and his wife is 82 Mr. Warren served at mayor of Nyssa for six years. j evening at their home, with Mr. and Mrs. Warren Farmer as guest play ers. "Open house” was held in their honor from 2 until 5 p. m. state president of the American Legion auxiliary, will be the princi pal speaker at a meeting of the American Legion auxiliary In Nyssa Monday evening, May 8 at the Vet erans hall with members of the ailXlHary of Adrian, Vale and O n tario as guests. Mrs. Oraham will also serve as installing officer for the auxiliary units of Nyssa, Adrian, Vale and Ontario when the newly elected officers will take office. Other speakers on the evening program, according to Mrs. Kermtt Llcnkaempcr. local president, will be Mrs. Karl Sweek o f Monument, dis trict president, und Mrs. E. K Burton of Nyssa, who is state his torian of the American Legion aux iliary. The meeting will begin at 8 p. in. - 8 - D E LPH IAN S MEET The members of the Delphian Study club inet last Friday morning at the home of Mrs. Qerrlt Stam. when the members, under the lead ershlp of Mrs. Stam, discussed the topic. "The Scientist and His Meth ods". Phases of the topic were dis cussed by Mrs Bernard Eastman, Mrs. Orant Rinehart. Mrs. Frank Morgan und Mrs. Clyde Snider. John Reeves, and her mother, Mrs Laura Ditty of Appleton. Missouri and Mrs. Walter Fox and her sister Mrs. Charles Steel, who is visiting here from northern Wisconsin. - 8 - TU E SD A Y CLUB MEETS Mrs. George Vaughan was hostess to the members of her Tuesday eve ning bridge club this week, with Mrs. Chet Sage as guest player. MEET Mr. and Mrs. Stan Newman en tertained the members of their Mr. and Mrs. bridge club last Thursday There’s an easier way PROORESSIVE P A R T Y PLANNED Final plans are being made for the annual spring progressive parties sponsored by the St. Paul’s Episcopal guild. Both pinochle and bridge will be played with the guests meet ing at the parish hall at the close of the evening for refreshments, and the award of prizes. Arrangements for the parties are being made by Mrs. J. J. Sarazin, Mrs. Frank Morgan and Mrs. Hilda Tensen. The discussion concerning the can didates for the coming election was led by Mrs. Frank Morgan.
