THE NYSSA GATE CITY JOURNAL. NYSSA OREGON. THURSDAY. MARCH 16. 1950 Cemetery Board Plans Election OWYHEE. Mar. 16—A meeting will be held in the Owyhee Community church Tuesday. March 21 at 8 p. m. for the purpose of electing three directors to serve on the Owyhee cemetery board. The terms of those now holding office have expired. Mr. and Mrs Prank Zimdar and family and Mr. and Mrs. Oris Whittemore and daughter, Frances, of Parma were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Bigelow Sunday. The dinner was given in observance of Mr. Bigelow’s birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Werner Peutz enter tained at dinner Saturday evening for Mr. and Mrs Kenneth McDon ald and Kay andButch, honoring Mr. McDonald on his birthday. Correction—Mr. and Mrs Herb Loy of Portland were here to a t tend the funeral of Mrs. Fred Loy of New Plymouth. Mrs Kenneth McDonald and Mrs. Stanley Hill gave a pink and blue shower for Mrs. Tony Ciofalo at the home of Mrs. M. L. Judd Tuesday. Mrs. Martha Klingback returned Saturday from a three-weeks visit with relatives in Seattle and Walla Walla. Mrs. Lou DeGoede and her son- in-law. Henry Shank of Ogden. Utah are here visiting her parents and other relatives. Her father, Jess Kygar. who has been ill with pneumonia, is much better and her brother, Earl Kygar. who is in the hospital, is also reported improving. Mrs. Martha Klingback and son, Fred, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Gregg Sunday. Prayer meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Martha Klingback Wednesday. March 22.
