JANUARY I I 1950 Boy In School After Illness OWYHEE, Jan 12—Mrs. Clayton Patton entertained with a party Sunday afternoon for her daughter, Linda, on her seventh birthday. Cake and ice cream were served to 12 young friends. Bobby Skinner returned to school Tuesday after suffering from virus pneumonia for the past three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Franklin were Monday evening supper guests In the Gerald Slippy home. The ladies of the O. K. K. club served lunch at the Garritson farm sale Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Turner and children of Homedale and Mrs. Bertha Hunt and Patty of Mountain Home were Sunday dinner guests in the Keith Kygar home. The Busy Cooks 4-H cooking club met Friday afternoon at the home I of Kay McDonald. Shirley Skinner and Peggy Morris were absent be cause of illness. The girls prepared waffles and waldorf salad. The regular meeting of the O. K. K. club will be held Thursday, Jan uary 19 at the William Peutz home, with Mrs. Werner Peutz assisting. Mr and Mrs. Donald Brewer and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Tallman and children, and Mr. and Mrs. Homer Brewer and daughters were Monday evening dinner guests in the Darrell Williams home. Jan. 12—Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Martin left Thursday night for southern California, where they will visit relatives and friends. They wiU be accompanied home by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. J. English, who have been visiting there for several months. Mr. and Mrs. Martin’s son Ronnie is slaying in the Foxey Martin home at Parma and their daughter, Helen, in the Don Boren home at Nampa. Ahron McGinnis was in Nampa on business Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brown vis ited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ora Deerham of Marsitv Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cartwright of Big Bend were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Cartwright. Mrs. Olenn Brown, Mrs. Herb Thomas and Mrs. Carl Hill were hosts at a bridal shower for Nor ma Jean Dierking Thursday In the Presbyterian church basement. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Winn were in Boise on business Wednesday. Mrs. A. C. Henderson lias been ill the past week. Mrs. Glenn Brown, Mrs. Herb Thomas and Mrs. Sue Ashcraft at tended a pinochle party at the Lambert Deirktng home Friday. Fred Warren, music instructor at the Adrian high school, is ill this week. Bill Willis and Alvon McGinnis were in Nampa on business Mon day. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Alger of Mer idian visited in the Bob Brown home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Patterson have moved to the tenant house at the Chas. Newbill ranch in Newell Heights. Mrs. Glenn Brown and her granddaughter. Kristine Korman. spent Tuesday in Caldwell with Mrs. Bob Eastman. Mrs. Anna Sparks and son and Mrs. Ruth Looney and sons visited in Caldwell Monday. They enjoy ed a Chinese dinner while there. The course will carry two hours of credit. The tuition will be B7. Dr. Nightingale of the Eastern Oregon College of Education faculty will offer a course in arts and crafts, beginning March 3. This course will be held at Ontario. The bourse will carry three hours of credit and will last for 10 meetings. The tuitioh will be *10.50.
