23. At that time. Mike, the poorest feeder, was placed
on a half and half ration of barley and wheat, supp
lemented with Purina hog chow. Ike was placed on
the same ration of barley and wheat without the sup
plement. During the first 14 days Mike gained 35
pounds at a cost of 8 3/4 cents per pound of gain.
