WATER USERS MEET
NU-ACRES, July 21—Mr. and Mr*
E C Johnson and family and
Judy Preston attended the Texas
Oklahoma picnic at Vale Sunday.
They won the prize for the coupue
traveling the farthest to be pres­
ent at the picnic.
Floyd Hunt, nephew of Mr. and
Mrs. E. C. Johnson left Monday
for his home in Stillwater. Okla­
homa, after a month's visit at the
Johnson home.
Clay Anderson left for Sacra
mento Tuesday.
He will try to
find a place to live before return­
ing for his family, who will remain
here until that time. They plan
to make their home In Sacramento.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Raymer and
daughter of Boise, Mr. and Mrs
R. O. Scott and family of Nampa,
and Katherine Parkhurst of San
Francisco were Sunday

guests of Mr. and Mrs. George
Orasmick.
Miss Viola Jeppsen left Friday
for North Platte. Nebraska to take
her state teacher’s examination.
Martin Jeppsen, who has been
seriously ill at tihe Boise veterans
hospital has not Improved much.
Mr and Mrs. Frank Nedbalek,
Leo Ellibee, and Mr. and Mrs.
George Orasmtck drove to Nampa
Thursday night to see Mrs. Leo
Ellibee, Who has been quite seri­
ously HI In the Mercy hospital
Mrs. Nedbalek. Mrs. Grasmick, and
Mrs. Clay Anderson visited her
Saturday afternoon. The latest re­
port from Mr. Ellibee is that Har­
riet is improving satisfactorily
under the circumstances.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thurston and
son of Fruitland and Mrs. M ild­
red Boggs of Pocatello were Sun­
day evening guests at the Ed Mer-
onev home.
Eleanor Wherry and Than Wher­
ry visited Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mer-
oney Saturday. Than Wherry Is
from Victoria. B. C.
Mrs. Merl Thomson, Mrs. Cecil
Evans, and Mrs. M. C. Seuell at­
tended a Circle Four meeting Wed­
nesday at Mrs. Lee Brown's home
near Fruitland.
Mrs. Merl Thomson and Mrs.
M. C. Seuell attended the meeting
of the Malheur Memorial hospital
auxiliary Monday afternoon at
Nyssa.
F. D. Orcutt of Seattle spent last
week visiting his son, Henry Or­
cutt and family. The visit was
their first In seven years.
Jean Blakesley and Terry were
Sunday dinner guests o f Mrs. O '­
Neil Hallirway at Ontario.
Jean Blakesley gave a buffet
supper Monday night for her team
mates, the Nyssaettes, celebrating
their victory over the Curry Pro­
duce. About 2» persons. Including
coach, manager and all those cpn-
nected with the team attended.
David and Chuckle Phillips spent
the past week with their aunt and
uncle. Mr and Mrs. Carl Petter-
son of Caldwell.

The county board of the Farm
Bureau met with Adrian center at
the grade school building Wednes­
day evening. Plans were made for
a booth at the county fair. A
picnic was planned for the after­
noon of August 20 at the Vale park.
