L. Day, Mrs. S. B. Hoffman, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Hoffman and daughter. Glenda, Mr. and Mrs. James Ritchie and family and Sandra Day. Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Halloway visited in New Plymouth and Notus Sunday. Te 4-H Saddle club met Sunday and enjoyed a picnic and swim at Snively's. Fourteen members and three visitors attended. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Day and family attended a family picnic la the park at Nyssa Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Art Sparks, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bowers and Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Lane of the Kolony were among those attending the joint baptismal service held in the First Baptist church in Ontario Sunday afternoon Mrs. Roy Bow ers, Johnny and Benny Witty were baptised by Reverend Moore of Adrian. Shirley Sparks was a Sunday dinner -guest of Arlene Piercy. Ronald Lane, Maurice Judd, Thurman Piercy and -Margaret Garwood were among those fish ing at the Owyhee dam Sunday. Mrs. Lynn Hurst and Mrs. J. G. Lane attended the Mary and Martha meeting at the United Presbyterian church Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Phifer were dinner guests at the Burl Phifer home in Newell Heights Sunday. On Friday Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bowers visited Dennis Roy Mark ham, a new arrival, at the Ontario hospital. His father, Harold -Mark ham of Nyssa, is a brother of Mrs. Bowers. Mrs. Dale Ashcraft was hostess to the A. N. K. Garden club Tues day afternoon. Mrs. Bud Wilson demonstrated crystal table setting and flower arrangement for center- pieces. Ice cream and cake were served by the hostess. There were twelve members present. Mrs. Banta held a party for the twins, Marvin and Mabel, on their sixth birthday Sunday afternoon. The following guests and their mothers were present: Carla Kreigh, Bruce Winn, Wanda AShcraft, Katherine Auker and Claudette Day. Mrs. L. T. Palmer of Nampa, mother of Mrs. ¡Leo Thompson and Mrs. Albert Goettiling of Caldwell niece of Mrs. Thompson, were vis itors at the Thompson home this week. Mrs. Roy Bowers attended the H E. C. club meeting at the home of Mrs. Anna Harris in the Boulevard community Tuesday. W. E. Brown, 63, o f Pendleton, former Nyssa resident, is reported to have died May 7 following a short illness. Mr. Brown was born in 1885 In Missouri. He spent his boyhood days in Nyssa before moving tu Pendleton. Survivors are three sisters, Mrs Daisy Ray of Nyssa and Mrs. Fran ces Oheeley and Mi's. H. A. Teutsch of Boise.
