HITS AND MISSES
It seems a lot of Nyssa residents owe apolo
gies to the weather man for their disparaging
remarks about Easter weather. You have often
heard that “ it always rains on Easter” . Instead,
this year farmers believe we had “ a million dol
lar” rain the week before Easter and the wea
ther was cloudy and unsettled the day follow
ing Easter.
The state is again painting cross-walks across
the highways at the Nyssa school grounds,
which 'is fine as a safety factor, but we still
don’t have any yellow paint on the paving and
sidewalks marking stalls for the parallel-parked
automobiles on Main street. The parallel park
ing was started because of state insistance. A l
though that type of parking requires more space
