Osborne of Nyssa, Oregon were united in mar riage Tuesday afternoon, January 15 at the home of the bride's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Hoag. The wedding vows were read at i 30 o'clock in the afternoon by the bride's aunt. Rev. (Mrs.) Bly the Kirby Russ, assistant pastor of the First Christian church of Blck- nell, Indiana. The vows of the dou ble ring ceremony were heard be fore gn altar fashioned of white chrysanthemums and white candel- bra. The couple was attended by Miss Margaret Johnson of Rose- burg, Oregon, former roommate of I the bride and a senior at Oregon State college, and Cecil Kirby of Blalock, uncle of the bride. Oiven in marriage by her father, I the bride wore a gown o f the tra- I dltional white satin made with a j full train and a full veil of white i net and lace. The veil was held In | place by a coronet o f lace. The | bride carried a bouquet of white carnations. The maid of honor wore a dress of delicate pink net and carried a nosegay of pink rose buds. Mr. Osborne is the son of Mr and Mrs. Dale Osborne o f Nyssa, Oregon. He was recently discharged from the army air corps, having served more than four years. Preceding the ceremony, Marlon Weatherford of Arlington, sang ‘Be cause” accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Marion Weatherford. Mrs. Weatherford played the "Wedding March" by Lohengrin. The bride's mother was lovely Ir. a dark brown dress with a corsage of pink rose buds. Following the ceremony a re ception was held in the home of the bride's parents. The newlywed couple left immediately following the reception. The couple stopped in Nyssa while on their wedding trip. On Derailed Train— Mrs. Frank Rambaud of Nysas was aboard the Union Pacific train that was derailed between La- Grande and Pendleton early this week. None o f the passengers on the train was injured or killed, but the fireman and engineer lost their lives.
