Malheur County, Oregon at Nysaa, Oregon for transmission Mails, as secood class matter, under of March 3, 1379 NATIONAL 6 D IT O R IA L - mSc a s s o c ia t io n INDUSTRIALIZATION NEEDED Prospects for industrial development of Mal heur county, especially the Nyssa section, to augment the territory’s agricultural position are bright. This county is developing rapidly as an agri cultural section and in order to grow to the gr eatest possible extent, it must have industries to help absorb the farm products. Industrialization of the area would make ma ny crop into what are known as “cash crops”, because it would provide a ready market for the products of the territory. One thing that hints a strictly agricultural area is the inability of fanners to market their products at a profit when there is a surplus. Manufacturing plants tend to reduce that sur plus by processing products for future use. The Nyssa chamber of commerce is to be con gratulated upon its plans to work for develop ment of farming and industries in this area.
