The purpose of the organization is designed to provide supervised recreation for boys and girls during their spare time, but the program would be conducted by the youths themselves. Similar groups have been formed in other cities and towns. President George Mitchell of the chamber of commerce appointed Carlos Buchner and Bernard East man yesterday to serve with other civic groups in the move to sponsor a club. A good game is promised as both teams have been playing topnotch basketball. In a non-conference game in December Nyssa defeated Vale by two points. Since then Vale has won five games and lost two; Nysaa has won four and lost three. The Nyssa wins include a 25 to 22 victory registered against Payette Friday night. If Nyssa can defeat the Vale five the teams will be tied for second place in the Snake river confer ence. Emmett leads with seven wins and no losses.
