Mrs Judd read the report o f the nom inating committee and the following officers were voted upon by the gr- oup: Mrs Anna Sparks, president: Mrs Threlma Elliott, vice president: Mrs Krueger, secretary; and Mrs Muntpewerff, treasurer. Mrs Walter McPartland. county president of the P.T.A., spoke to the group on the importance of the work o f the organization in war time. Mrs McPartland also told of highlights of the state P.T.A. con ference in Portland, which she re cently attended. Mrs. Toomb and Mrs Patch sang two numbers, accompanied by Mrs Nevin, and Ellen Judd played a f l ute solo accompanied by Mrs Judd. Mrs. Elliott presented two 4-H demonstrations: one on personal appearance by Shirley Smith and Selma Stam, and one on the care of the nails by Arline Piercy and Bet ty Toomb. The sewing club girls hen modeled the garments they had made In their sewing projects. A plaque was presented to the club o f Mrs Howard Hatch for its att endance record. The program was completed by the announcement of the summer school awards by E. M. Hauser, county club leader. The following delegates will represent this com munity’s 4-H clubs at the annual 4-H conference to be held at Cor vallis: Marjory Hite and Donald Elliott with Viola Zamora and Ivan Jensen as alternates; Ellen Judd representing the garden clubs and Dorothy Toomb the dairy club. Following the program tea was served with Mrs Judd and Mrs Otis presiding over the table. On Tuesday the A.N.K. garden club met at the home of Mrs C. C Cotton of Nyssa. Mrs Patch spoke on stories connected with national and state flowers and Mrs Judd talked on the use o f suitable flow ers for borders. The June meeting will be held at the home o f Mrs Garrett Stam.
