' mim EASTERN S TAR M EETS A large group of Eastern Stars and Masons of Nyssa attended the annual district meeting held at Os- tarlo on Thursday evening at which the lodges of Nyssa, Vale and On tario were represented; there being present about a hundred members to meet Grand Worthy Matron, Mrs. Halite Huntington. Proceeding the meeting a turkey dinner was enjoyed. Among those attending from Nys sa were Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Frost Mr. and Mrs William E. Schireman, Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Fletcher and Mrs. Fred Sessler. - - 8 - TUESDAY B RID G E Mrs. J. J. Sarazln was hostess for the members of the Tuesday after noon bridge club at dessert and con tract at her home this week. Prizes were won by Mrs. John Bishop. TH U R SD AY AFTERNOON CLUB Mrs. Arthur Boydell was hostess for the Thursday afternoon Bridge club at dessert and contract this week. Mrs. Frank Hall was prize wi nner at cards for the afternoon. -s - W EDNESDAY EVENING BRIDGE Ms. Emma Quinby played as a guest for the evening with the W ed nesday Evening Bridge club when It was entertained on Wednesday evening by Mrs. Aden Wilson. High scores were made by Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Herbert H. Fisher. 5 - OFFICERS ELECTED Officers for the coming year for the Nyssa lodge of the Eastern Star were elected at the regular meeting held at the Masonic hall on Mon day evening. New officers to be in stalled at the next regular meeting will be Mrs. Wllllan E. Schireman, Worthy Matron; Leo Hollenberg, Worthy Patron; Mrs. E. D. Norcott, assistant worthy matron; A. L. Flet cher, assistant worthy patron; Mrs. Dick Tensen, secretary: Mrs. Fred Sessler, treasurer; Mrs. Eldon Jen sen, conductress; Mrs. Bert B. Lien- kaemper, assistant conductress. MR. AND MRS. CLUB On Wednesday evening Mr. and Mrs. Club was entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Morgan at dinner and contract. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hartley were invited to play with the members for the evening and high scores were made by Mrs. Geo rge J. Mitchell and Mr. Leo Hollen berg. -8 - 8U N D AY SU PPER P A R T Y Mr. and Mrs. Charles Newbill in Kingman Kolony entertained on Sunday evening at supper and pin ochle for twelve guests. High score was won by Mr. and Mrs. Omer Ad- kinson while low went to Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Buchner. A traveling prize went to Mrs. R. A. Whitaker. W.C.T.U. MEETS An interesting meeting of the W. C. T. U. was held at the home of Mrs. H. R. Sherwood on Tuesday afternoon with sixteen members and friends attegding.
