The festival opened on Friday morning with a track meet at which all the grade schools of the Adrian high school district competed. First place in this event went to the Owyhee team. Time was taken out at noon to enjoy a basket lunch. Afternoon activities were open ed by the grand march ol the Queen. Margaret Winters, and her court and the Maypole dancers led by the high school band to their place» in the ball park. The corona tion of Queen Margaret the First was then held and she and her courtiers took their places to watch the Maypole dance and pageants provided by the various schools. In the pageant contest award for first place went to Ridgeview. The track meet trophy was award ed by the American Legion post of Adrian.
