HOME EC G IR LS ENTERTAIN
Wednesday afternoon a large
group of the mothers of the girls
talcing Home Economics at the Nys-
sa High school, attended the style
show and tea given by the class in
the gymnasium and Home Ec rooms.
The style show was first on the
program and was held at the gym­
nasium where the girls displayed
and styled the garments they had
made during the year. Following
this the guests were taken to the
Home Ec rooms at the high school
where a short program preceeded
the tea service.
Tea was poured by Verna Mitchell,
president of the Home Economics
club, and Joy Atagl. who wore the
native Japanese tea costume.

present and asked each boy to give
a report on the stock he is raising.
Several of the boys have raised pigs
and the costs o f feeding were dis­
cussed. Vernon Nicholaysen exhib­
ited his heifer and won third prize
at the Nampa 4-H club exhibition
in Nampa on Saturday.
The school’s manual training shop
will be open from 9 a. m. until 11
a. m. on the day of the picnic and
the boys will demonstrate some of
the power tools. Doctor Albert T.
Harper is to be the speaker at the
graduation exercises Thursday eve­
ning. Mr. Harper comes from the
Northwest Nazarene
College at
Nampa. School will re-convene on
Tuesday, September 3.

and first in soft ball throw; M il­
dred Higgins, third in 75-yd. dash;
Iola Parker, third in 75 yd. dash;
Harlen Andrijeski, second in 50-yd.

pupils after which 4-H awards and
scholastic awards will be presented.

The Clothing club met April 30
at the Kingman Kolony school
house. The girls discussed their ex­
hibits and made plans to get their
work all finished before school is
out. All articles are to be turned in
to the local leader to be sewed on
the exhibit cards.

bers of this club, were used in the
judging contest at the leader’s coun­
cil meeting in Ontario Saturday. A
