M AY 9, 1940. mm HOME EC G IR LS ENTERTAIN Wednesday afternoon a large group of the mothers of the girls talcing Home Economics at the Nys- sa High school, attended the style show and tea given by the class in the gymnasium and Home Ec rooms. The style show was first on the program and was held at the gym nasium where the girls displayed and styled the garments they had made during the year. Following this the guests were taken to the Home Ec rooms at the high school where a short program preceeded the tea service. Several of the boys have raised pigs and the costs o f feeding were dis cussed. Vernon Nicholaysen exhib ited his heifer and won third prize at the Nampa 4-H club exhibition in Nampa on Saturday. The school’s manual training shop will be open from 9 a. m. until 11 a. m. on the day of the picnic and the boys will demonstrate some of the power tools. Doctor Albert T. Harper is to be the speaker at the graduation exercises Thursday eve ning. Mr. Harper comes from the Northwest Nazarene College at Nampa. School will re-convene on Tuesday, September 3.
