All teachers and offi cers were present. Mrs. Jim Hawkins and daughter sang a duet at the close of the hour’s service. Plans are being made to hold a pre-school clinic at the Lincoln school. A group of farmers met with Mr. Schlapkohl at the head of the Mal heur syphon Tuesday morning. The purpose was to decide on more sefeguards. It was decided to con struct a fence in the near future. Water first appearen in the canal in this vicinity Friday morning. Many farmers were planning to start irrigating soon, but because of the rain which fell Sunday aft ernoon it can be delayed for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pettet and family visited at the Ralph Barnes home Saturday evening. Lincoln P. T. A. met Friday eve ning at the school house with a nice crowd present. Slides were shown which pertained to tuberculosis. A. lunch was served at the close of the evening's program. Pupils of Lincoln school went to Vale Thursday afternoon to parti cipate in the spelling contest held there. Two pupils represented each division. Dolly Hawkins, Donald Peck and Arlene McDole brought home honors for the Lincoln school. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Smith and son were Sunday dinner guests at the Ralph Barnes home. Mrs. George B. Ward and sons, Darrell and George visited at the George Markham home Thursday. School was dismissed Thursday afternoon so that teachers and pu pils might attend the music festival that day. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Page are the parents of a daughter born Wednesday, April 24. Mr. and Mrs. George Ward and children went to Kuna Sunday to visit with relatives and friends.
