Rogers of Palco, Kansas, and Don A. Seward, son of Mr. and Mrs. A . P . Seward of Nyssa, Oregon, were solemnized at an 8 o’clock candle- lighted ceremony at the Nazarene church in Emmett, Idaho, Friday evening. Sept. 8, which date was al so the 77th birthday anniversary of Mrs. Sarah Eaton, grandmother of the groom. Three large panels entwined with sprigs of tamarac studded with co lorful zinnias formed the back ground for the young couple. Bas kets of gladiolus and mixed bou quets also six white tapers in can delabra on either side completed the decorations. As friends and relatives gathered, soft music from the piano Including “Andantino" by Edwin Lemare and •'To the Evening Star” from Tann häuser by Richard Wagner was played by Mrs. Dwight Seward, sis ter-in-law of the groom, who pre sided at the piano during the eve ning. Erma Ruth Acheson of Em mett entered to light the candles at 8 o’clock, then Willard Hoffman of Emmett sang “Because” by Guy dHardelot and immediately to the strains of Mendelssohn's Wedding March, the bridal party entered. The bride was unusually beautiful in a gown of floor length bemberg crepe over satin with a coronet and veil, floor length. She carried a bou quet of trl-colored gladiolus tied with blue floral ribbon. Miss Zola Rogers of Emmett, cou sin of the bride, was maid of honor. She was dressed in lace over peach satin and carried snapdragons and baby’s breath. Nadine Seward of Nyssa, niece of the groom, was flower girl. She wore a rose colored bemberg dress. Virgil Seward of Nyssa, brother of the groom, was best man. Rev. Floyd Kinzler of Emmett read the ceremony, following which Mr. Hoffman again sang, “I Love You Truly”. During the Recessional the couple marched to the back of the church where they received congratulations from the guests. Besides the guests from Caldwell, Nyssa and Emmett, Mrs. Della Coddington. cousin of the bride from Palco, Kansas, was present, and a group including Floyd and Dallas Rogers and Verl Coddington. also cousins, with Ken neth and Gordon Crane, from Pal co. The bride was formerly from Pal co, Kansas, where she has taught school. The groom, since coming from Kansas with his parents a year and a half ago has, with his father, pur chased a farm joining the Snake 1 ... . The road graveling in Buena Vist is progressing nicely as the north road will be completed the first part of this week. The Garden Club held its regu lar meeting at the E. L.
