There Is a hollow bleak feeling in the air as one thinks of these things as being gone from him until the warm winds of the reviving spring shall put life into them anew. Men's lives are much like this and the spring and summer of ones life should be used to store up a supply of good and happiness for the win ter which will later come Into his life. Two teams will play at noon both Tuesday and Thursday and also a t, physical ed period on the two days mentioned. The following p'ayers were chosen captains of the twelve teams: Jack McKee, Wilson Keck, Wilbur Smith, Gilbert Holmes, Dale Bing- man, Gerald Warren, Joe Robert son, Merle Kurtz Henry Mitchell, Dudley Mausling and Dick Case. —N. H. S — FIGHTS— The lower classmen of N. H. S. seem to have been getting a strong pugilistic urge lately, presumably from examples set by their seniors: and. as a result, several black eyes, bruised knuckles, and swollen lips are in evidence. The favorite spot for these fistic ecounters are behind the school house ana in the alley between Fox's service station and the school ground, while some occur-on the scene of the insult. We of the staff would like to sug gest that these bouts be scheduled and thus be conducted in a business like way so as to derive the most possible benefit from them. Our plan is for the chanl'enger or challenged to notify a competent party who would act as referee and advertise. He would there upon usher the warring factions into the gym at the appointed time and in vite the public with a small admls- son charge to view the most prim itive way of settling arguments; man to man. —N. H.
