NYSSA GATE CITY JOURNAL, THURS., NOVEMBER 4, 1937 CHEVROLET PRESENTS FOR 1938 . SOCIETY MRS BURBIDGE ENTERTAINS CLUB The Tuesday bridge club met with Mrs. Sidney Burbldge with Mrs. Andrew Boersma and Mrs. Louis Maulding playing with members. High score was won by Mrs. Denny Hogue and second went to Mrs. Dewey Ray. - 5 - THURSDAY CLUB MEETS IN CALDWELL On Friday the members of the Thursday Club were entertained by Mrs. Barr Doc little at her new home at Caldwell and all reported an ex ceptionally nice time. After a dainty luncheon the usual afternoon of auction was enjoyed and one of the guests was Mrs. Dick Adams, who recently moved to Caldwell from Nyssa. High score was won by Mrs. War ren Blodgett and a traveling prize by Mrs. Sidney Burbidge. Those driving over from Nyssa in cluded Mrs. Ernest McClure, Mrs. Sidney Burbidge. Mrs. Eldon Jensen, Mrs. Aden Wilson, Mrs. Bert Lien- kaemper and Mrs. Warren Blodgett. CHOIR PARTY The choir cf St. Paul’s Episcopal church held Its regular fortnightly party on Tuesday. After an hours practice of hymns and chants an hour of games with refreshments followed and it was decided to change the date of meeting from alternate Tuesday evening to the second and fourth Mondays of the month, so that the next meeting will FRIDAY AFTERNOON fall on Monday, November twenty- PARTY second.
