Mr. and Mrs O. C. McMullen and
family of Welser were Tuesday
evening callers in the R. C. Enos
home.
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Holly trans­
acted business in Vale Friday alter-

Mrs. C'Ceal Boswell.
Mitchell Gavlola went to Boise
Friday after a few days with Mrs.
Gavicla to be under the doctor's
care with an Injured knee.
Miss Betty Nelson was a week
end guest of the Misses Donna and
Joyce Ashcraft.
Miss Dorothy Holly was honor
guest at a kitchen shower given for
her by Miss Ellen McConnell and
Mrs. Mitchell Gavlola at the R. C.
Enos home. The guests invited to
this shower were the old original
Girl Scouts and their mothers who
formed the troop when It was first
organized under the leadership of
Mrs. M. L. Judd. The afternoon was
spent In each guest making a book
depicting Miss Holly’s life from her
wedding day until her
fiftieth
wedding anniversary. A prize was
given for the best arranged book
which was won by Miss Virginia
Miller and the comical book prize
went to Mrs. Charles McConnell
After which all wrote out slips of
advice for the bride-to-be to carry

Oral Hite has had a relapse of
the flu. Infection settled in his legs
causing intense pain and sickness.
The doctor estimates it will be sev­
eral weeks before he can be out
of bed.
While mowing clover In their up­
per field the Patton boys found a
pheasant hen with five white leg­
horn chickens, evidently the pheas­
ant had confiscated a hens nest
The baby chick were very wild and
hard to catch but were tamed in a
few days after being brought to the
house,
Dorothy Lowe of Caldwell spent
several days last week at the rails
Walters home. Mrs. Walters and
son Jack and Juanita Franklin took
Dorothy to Caldwell Friday.
Mr and Mrs. Hollis Mitchell of
Utleyvllle, Colo, are making a two
months visit with his parents, Mr
and Mrs. J. B. Mitchell and family.
K. W. Kygar suffered a badly
mashed foot when the handle of a
double Jack he and his son Merle
were using slipped and let the Jack
fall. His foot is healing as rapidly
as can be expected.
