Miss Evelyn Haworlh has been out of school the past week with a severe attack of tonsillitis. The past week has been a very busy one for the farmers, many have their wheat and oats planted. Wesley Roberts started work for Sills on a government contract near Weiser Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Godwin and family who have been Bend resi dents for a number of years moved last week to the ranch in Kingman, vacated by the Judd family. Mr. and Mrs. Llcyd Caldwell spent Friday visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Conley Wilson In Nam pa. Mr. Fritts, Mr. Upshaw and Mr Lloyd Caldwell attended the trial of Chester Gray In Caldwell Wednes day. Mrs. Reuben Henshaw who was quite ill last week is reported to be feeling much better at this time. Ura Robinson attended a stock sale in Caldwell Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. George Bailey made a quick business trip to Caldwell Monday morning. Mr. and Mr,. J. A. Pettit called ut the home of his neice Mrs. Ray Commons and family at Wilder Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Commons are planning to move to tire coast ioon. Wednesday W. S. Adams was pleasantly surprised when several neighbors began dropping in witlr good tilings to eat. The occasion for tills surprise was Iris birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Cedric Caldwell and children were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Cald well Sunday.
