Notice has been received here by members of the Associated Cham bers of Commerce that the com mittee appointed at the Nampa gathering last Monday to arrange for a special meeting to consider some aggressive action to defeat the P ttingill Bill, that the Dairymen's Hall in Caldwell has been secured for Tuesday evening, April 22. and the program will start at eight o'clock. Chas. Laurenson, Man ager of the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce Is Chairman of the Special Committee. While the Associated Chambers went on record at Nampa as op- l>osing the Fettingill Bill, it was I¡ointed out at that time that the Idaho Public Utilities Commission had indicated earlier in the day through Charles A. Root at a meeting In Boise that the commis sion had practically no resolutions on file of recent date urging the oppostiion to this bill. The commis sion's position would be greatly strengthened if It had strong en dorsement of their stand against enactment of this bill which re cently passed the House with an overwhelming vote and is now in committee in the Senate with in dications that it may be reported out favorably. The committee Is urging every farm organization to be represent ed at the Caldwell meeting next week with resolutions already adopted which may be read. Busi ness groups are also invited and It is hoped to fill the hall to capacity to show public officials that all classes of citizens are apprehen sive of the result that will follow If the bill Is passed by the U. S. Senate. P A T R O N IZE OUR ADVERTISERS Q l J . ( f I V xic fYf c_ p ./. v \ a t o a ft ^ A SPRING TONIC . . .
