Sager family have mov ed from part of the Pipe Line ranch to another farm near Caldwell. Bela Sager, member of the local basket ball squad, has transferred to the Caldwell high school. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sankey left Saturday for Jordan Valley after spending a week at the J. T. Long ranch. Mr. Sankey Is connected with the government biological survey, making a count of wild ducks in this county. Lem Smith of Mitchell, Nebraska has purchased the Ray Cantral farm in the Owyhee district. Mr. and Mrs. Smith and family of seven children have the highest kind of recommendatioins from responsible people In Mitchell. Brown attended the wedding of his daughter Char lotte to Clifford Jenkins of Fossil in Baker Sunday. The ceremony was performed at 2 o’clock at the Epis copal church by the Bishop Reming ton. The young couple will make their home in Fossil where t h e groom is stationed as county agent. The Parma group had asked the girls to come over and show the work they were doing with a view of interesting more of the young peo ple of Parma in similar projects. Miss Rubye Lou Hemenway spent Sunday In Boise on business. Mr. Fisher, old time resident of the Owyhee district, Is 9ald to be very 111 at the present time. Miss Edith Baird became ill last week and was taken to the Ontario hospital last week. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Beam visited Mrs. W. R. Lofton who Is a patient In the hospital at Ontario. Doris Graham has been quite sick this past week with the flu and the measles. Mr. M. Ward o f’ Wendell arrived Wednesday evening and are spending a few days in Nys sa. Merle Larsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Larsen was returned to the Caldwell sanitarium last week. He has been sick for the past three months. He is a nephew of Mrs. Don Morgan. C. L. McCoy returned Wednesday evening from Salem where he spent the week end attending the Legion meeting there. Mrs. McCoy stopped over in Pendleton on the return trip and will visit there for a few days before returning to Nyssa.
