During a heavy rainstorm Tuesday, a
haystack caught fire on the K. 8. and
D. ranch In Arcadia. Over forty tons of
hay was a total loss as the company
carried no Insurance. Renters on the
ranch beUeve some tramp must have
dropped a cigarette In the hay to start
the blaze.
A grass fire which started on the
Charles Marshall ranch recently spread
to the Deseret ranch where It burned
about 15 tons of hay, two straw stacks
and over quite a tract of pasture.
