C O U N T Y S T A T IS T IC S CLUB NEWS NOTES ITEMS OF INTEREST ABOLI TUE BOYS ANO «.IRLS- Boy« and G irls H a te Jo in t Meeting and Picnic. The boys and g irls of Brogan Sew ing and L ive S tock clubs held a jo in t m eeting A u g u st 29th a t Mrs. Thomson's. The boys m ade the ice cream for the p a rty and each one brought som ething to e a t w ith them so we surely had som e spread. A fte r the luncheon was over we held the m eeting w here several th in g s were discussed as to th e fa ir and us to each one's p a rtic u la r pro ject. P ictu res w ere taken of each of the clubs, a fte r which we ad journed. The g irls finished th e ir sewing and we b ro u g h t it w ith us. These g irls are th e f irs t in th e county to have finished and hand in their w ork. If n o th in g happens th is club will be a 100 p e r cent club. The boys received th e ir fo u rth re p o rt card w hich com pletes th e.r w ork fo r th is y ear. These boys are show ing up fin e a s a stock judging team . They placed second la st year and will m ak e somebody work for f ir s t place th is year. T hey are going to fin ish 100 per cent. S tu n ts a t C ounty F a ir. The boys and g irls of the county in club w ork a re going to p u t on a p arade re p re se n tin g each p roject carried on th is year. T here a re th re e baseball team s in the county w hich all stan d the sam e a t p re sen t. E ach team having played two gam es and lost one. The two w inning team s will be decided by two m ore gam es and th ey will play the fin a ls a t the county fair. We intend to have one of the b e ;t ju d g in g co n te sts ev er th is year, having five team s com peting in this event. T hey will judge one class of d a iry anim als and one class of pigs. The pou ltry club of Valley View a re going to p u t on a ju d g in g con te st w ithin th e club, m aking it an individual co n test. Mr. C ain of O ntario is going to p u t up some kind of a prize. T here will possibly be a cooking dem onstration p u t on by th e girls o f Je ffe rso n u n d e r the local lead er ship o f M rs. Ida B. Leach. The corn club boys a re ra isin g som e m ig h ty fin e com th is y ear and will be h e re to challenge any one in the open class. The boys are w orking hard fo r s ta te honors w ith th e ir com .
