A mother’s concern for the
welfare of her children is as old
as the history of man, and is
express«*! in many ways One
way a mother expresses her
concern is to see that her
children are well fed, notes
Carol A
Ashley. Columbia
County Extension Agent
In today's society, many
mothers have gone outside the
home to take a job to help ease
the family’s financial burdens
In doing this, Mrs Ashley points
out, they are frequently unable
to supervise some of the meals
children eat As a result many
children are having a greater
choice in food selection. Unfor
tunately, many of them are
choosing unwisely at a time in
their lives when eating the right
foods is critical to their good
health.
