The tournament is the Nehalem Valley Open The tee off time is Sunday, Sept­ ember 9, from 7 a m to 12 noon. The place is the Vernonia Golf Course. And the prize money is $175. The money will be awarded to the top five finishers in the tournament which will be played under the Callaway Handicap System. In addition, a $10 gift certificate will go to the player with the low gross score. Several players have been sharpening their gam es in the last week or so to get ready for the tournament. Larry Borst burned up the course and Sam Beardsley when he shot a life­ time best 32 for nine holes.
