burned in the forest fire that
raged at Crawford Ridge near
Jewell last week The holocast
was fought by 1*' men. working
two shifts until the fire was
contained Wednesday afternoon
Eight acres of felled timber
and seven acres of green timber
were destroyed in the flames
with another 97 acres of cutover
slash which had already been
replanted by the state burned
Although the fire is out. Crown
Zcllerhach officials reported
that “hot spots ' were still
showing up in the area
