wools. Onion skins., walnut shells,
rhubarb leaves, goldenrod, scotch
broom, the tansy weed—even the
hard-to-get madder roots have
found their way into Sue’s “gar
den” of colors.
The dyed skeins are then ready
for work—to be woven on Sue’s
loom, knit, or crocheted—resulting
in one of a kind articles for wear
or decoration.

ning her natural dyed wools at the
Vernonia Friendship Jamboree on
Saturday, July 29. from 11 a m.
to 1 p.m. Mrs. Iliinsky will be
offering classes in spinning, weav
ing and carding at Portland Com
munity College this fall.
WOOL ARTIST Susan Iliinsky demonstrates her craftsmanship with
the spinning wheel and wool. Mrs. Iliinsky will give demonstrations
during the Vernonia Friendship Jamboree. Mrs. Iliinsky is part of the
group of artists and craftsmen that Portland Community College is
sending to the Jamboree.
