Mont Smith was born and received his initial schooling in Montana. He entered Northwest Christian College, Eug ene and graduated, following whi ch he taught school in Idaho. He has M. A. and M. S. degrees from Butler University and h a s been ? teacher, principal a n d superintendent in the public schools. He has preached at the Brownsville Christian church, Oregon, and the Colfax church, Indiana in addi tion to extended interim work in Idaho ar.d extensive evangelistic meetings throughout the North west He was a pioneer missionary in Ethiopia, entering the country in 1963 and establishing a work a t Kiremu. He will return to Ethio pia next summer. Mr. Smith will be bringing the morning message and show t h e work in Ethiopia through slides in the evening. The Christian Womens Fellowship has also plan ned a pot-luck dinner following morning services. Bible school is 9:45; morning worship is 11:00; evening services are at 7:30 p.m. A thin paste of salt and turpen tine will restore the whiteness to yellowed enamel in tub or wash basin. Much of our nation’s strength rests upon the brains and ingenu ity of our scientists and inventors. Our Constitution and the patent laws aim to give them rights in their inventions and to encour age them to pour out new labor- saving devices. You may have good, useful ideas but never do much about them. You can patent your new and use ful process, machine, article or man ufacture or composition of mat ter, or any improvement in any one of them, provided your idea is new and inventive. However, your patent applica tion must be completed and filed in the United States Patent Office within one year after the first pub lication or the first public use or sale of your device or process. You may not know how to pro tect your rights while perfecting and patenting such items. Under our patent laws, the diligent in ventor who first conceives a new invention is entitled to a patent on it. Between rival inventors, the patent office and the courts try to find out which can qualify as the first inventor of the subject mat ter, not who first sought the pat ent.
