Mother Honored Sunday at Park Grandsons Taken on Fishing Trip Monday AT THE CHURCHES NATAL - PITTSBURG — Bill Wolff and grandsons, Steve Stuve and Gary Turner, went fishing Monday on Eddie Miller’s boat. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Tupper and Sandra visited Mr. and Mrs. Max Glienke in Portland Saturday evening, Mrs. Silvia Wolff accompanied Mrs. Lucille McCrone to Portland Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Orin Davis enjoy ed driving to the coast Sunday. They had dinner at the Crab Broil er. Mrs. Don Armstrong and girls of Portland spent Thursday at the I. J. Dass home. Pete Peshall of Vernonia called on the Noble Dunlaps Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Tupper and Sandra were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Mathews. The Tuppers’ anniver sary was observed. MIST — Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rob bins and children of Port Orchard, Wash, spent the week end with her folks the Claude Kysers. Mrs. Ky- ser, the Robbins and Raymond were at Shute Park in Hillsboro Sunday afternoon for a family re union honoring Mrs. Karr of Van couver, Wn. on her &4th birthday. About 56 relatives attended, in cluding the Roy Kyser family of Mist, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Hawkins and family of Cathlamet, the Billy Kyser family of Forest Grove and Mrs. Clarence Kyser, Clatskanie. Mrs. Karr is the mother of Rose and Ruth Kyser. Dinner guests of Mrs. Nettie Cox one night during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Doug Barr. Mrs. Cox and Mrs. Martin Hansen attended the Pythian hobo party in Vernonia Friday evening at the home of Mrs. M. J. Lamping. The ladies were at Jefferson Sunday visiting at the home of the Lyle Wilson family. They were joined by the Marvin Wilsons and Mr. and Mrs. Mitchel and children of The E.U.B. Ray- went up Saturday evening and brought back their things Sunday. Alma and Mary and Mrs. Vina Sauter of Rainier attended the funeral of Mrs. Fred Bonnell of Clatskanie Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Busch and family and her folks, the Francis Wilsons of Seal Beach, Calif, made a loop trip Sunday. They went to Astoria to see the new bridge, to Fort Clatsop and to Fort Stevens for picnic lunch. They returned by the Sunset highway, stopping at Saddle Mountain which Mark and Mike climbed. Mrs. Wayne Kyser was at Mrs. Don Bergerson’s home Friday to attend a Columbia County Home Extension committee meeting. It is fair time again and plans were started on that. The dates are August 18-21. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bates of Santa Monica, Calif, arrived Tues day at the Fred Busch home en route from Alaska to their home. Mr. Bates is a brother of Mrs. Francis Wilson, Mrs. Busch’s mother. The Bates had gone up the Alcan highway and returned by the ferries. They left Friday enroute to the California home.
