THIS VIEW of Bridge street was snapped in 1923 by
W. C. Alexander, photographer. The team of horses
Nig and Chub were owned and driven by Ben Smith.
Also visible is the old county steam roller for which
the late Charley Cook was the engineer. Bridge street
was being rocked at this time to serve until 1924 when
the pavement was poured.
