IN MEMORIAM
6
In memory of John Steele
A friend has passed,
He’s Homeward bound,
He passed slow
Without a sound.
His soul has risen
To his home above,
To meet our Father
With tender love.
We see him pass
Through sad tears,
Though his memory will last
For many years,
We’ll miss his smile,
His happy face,
Though he has gone
To a far better place.
Rest Ye well, our passing friend,
To God above your soul we send.
(This poem written in memory of
George Brown is now dedicated to
the memory of John Steele.) 22tl
