New Hair Style
Seen at Show
Mrs. Juanita Morford, owner of
the Cut and Curl Room, and her
assistant, Miss Ann Bartles were
in Portland last Sunday and Mon
day to attend the Northwest Beau
ty and Trade Show at the Hilton
hotel. The event was sponsored by
the national hair styling council
andfeatured the newest in hair
and featured the newest in hair
styles for the 1966 spring season.
Mrs. Morford stated that stylist,
in demonstrations, presented the
new spring look, the Dickie Bird
cut which is described as the new
motion in hair look. It is real short
with a one sided emphasis. It is in
the presently used trend styling
but features more the symmetric
al line.
She stated that stylists also pre
sented the new three - dimensional
trend in hair coloring, called the
echo coloring.
Guest stars at the show were
Grace Doran and Buddy Francis.
Mrs. Carol Young, owner of Car
ol’s Beauty Shop had also planned
to attend the show but was kept
home by illness in her family.
