THE NATAL Grange booth entry won a fifth place ribbon with a mountain theme. The background fea­ tured a painted mountain range flanked by trees, while elve figurines were depicted mining, fishing, picking berries, gardening, etc. The booth also carried displays cf general farm produce. THE SOUTH Scappoose Grange booth entry which won a second place award at the county fair last week had a theme of “Cannon Fodder”. The booth featured a miniature cannon in the center of the display with a large American flag in the left background and smaller Student Leaves To Start Study A SPECIAL award went to the Warren Grange entry “Great Expectations” which featured a background of four golden sheafs of grain, the American flag and the Bible in the center of the display. General farm duce and flowers were also tastefully arranged. The Reynolds and their guests were in Longview Sunday visiting at the Armour Rey­ nolds home. The Youngs are visiting in the Jewell area this week before going back to visit longer here en­ route to California. Irene was Marian’s room­ mate last year at college. They left Monday morning, taking Marian back with them. She will again at­ tend the Graceland College at La­ moni, Iowa. After church Sunday evening, the Sanders family met with the Mathews and Embletons for a farewell get together for Marian.
