    Couple Attends
Fair at Salem
TIMBER RT.—Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Birt visited her mother,
Mrs. Victoria Rowe at the Pythian
Home in Vancouver Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beal spent
the past week in southern Oregon.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hurd from De­
lake, Bill Stowell from Buxton,
Mrs. Marion Siedelman and her
daughter, Mrs. Jim Fields visited
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Thacker Sun­
day afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stanley at­
tended the state fair at Salem last
week and visited friends at Wood­
burn.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Chesebro have
sold their place and are moving
to Eugene.
Helmi Kaupi, sister of Mrs. Cort
Siedelman, is now home after hav­
ing an operation.
Mr. and Mrs. George Smith cal­
led on Mr. and Mrs. Reggie Bruce
Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thacker vis­
ited Mr. and Mrs. George Smith
and family Labor day and took
home their son Kenny who had
spent a couple of days with the
Smith boys.
Mrs. Nellie Thacker spent the
week end in Portland with Mr.
and Mrs. Lester Teeling.
Lynwood Reynolds had the mis­
fortune to wrench his back Sat­
urday and is some better although
still unable to work.

Coast Scenery
Seen on Trip
RIVERVIEW—Mr. and Mrs. A.
J. Bliss drove down the coast this
week end almost to the California
line. They enjoyed the beautiful
weather and scenery very much.
Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lindsay vis­
ited the W. E. Lindsays at Scap­
poose last Saturday. They also
sp?nt some time in St. Helens.
Freda Foster and Mabel Mc­
Pherson of Clatskanie spent Sun­
day visiting here in the valley.
Among those they called on were
Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Lindsay, Mr.
and Mrs. Ira Peterson and Mr. and
Mrs. Noble Dunlap.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Tupper
and Sandra called on Mr. and Mrs.
N. Keim and family of Hillsboro
Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Wolff drove
to Portland Sunday and visited
her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Turner and daughters and
their guests, Mr. and Mrs. George
Turner, uncle and aunt of Robert,
who are visiting here from Nebras­
ka.

ardson were in Hood River Sun­
day and visited with the August
and Louis Birkenfeld families.
Lloyd Beache's sister, Genevieve
and her husband of Portland visit­
ed with them Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Spain and
family have moved into a house
here. He is driving truck for Al­
lied J & H Lumber company.
Walter Larsen, brother of Mrs.
E. T. Johnston, and a friend from
Medford came here to visit and do
some pigeon hunting over the
week end.
