from Gardiner has been visiting
his grandparents, the Art Odams.

Meryl Odam who are former Ver­
nonia residents.

Siedelman called on Mr. and Mrs.
Bud Blackburn, Mr. and Mrs. Har­
vey Ridling and Mr. and Mrs. Al­
bin Bergstrom.
Glen Justice came last Monday
to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Charles Justice. He left Friday ev­

TIMBER ROUTE—Mr. and Mrs.
Linwood P. Reynolds of Timber
Rt. have announced the engage­
ment of their niece, Cheryl Lea
to Gerald Allen Andrus, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Andrus of
Vernonia. The future bride has
made her home the past several
years with her aunt and uncle and
is a 1962 graduate of Vernonia
high school. Gerald will be a senior
this year at Vernonia high. The
couple plans to be married early
next summer.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Miller re
osived word the latter part of last
week that their brother-in-law,
Hubert McNatt who lives in Eu­
gene, was seriously injured in a
mill accident. A heavy object fell,
crushing his ankle and breaking
his leg in three diff?rent places.
Surgery will be necessary to re­
pair the leg and ankle but cannot
be undertaken until the swelling
subsides.
Friends here have received word
from Clyde Thomas and his wife
Nadine saying that they have been
transferred from a hospital in Ger­
many to the Madigan general hos­
pital in Tacoma, Washington. They
arrived in the United States with
their small son July 31 and moved
