Mother-Daughter
Affair Is Held
A véry delightful mother
daughter party was held last Fri
day evening in the social hall at
the Evangelical United Brethren
church with the ladies of the EL’B
circle in charge of refreshments
and the ladies of the Womens
Society of World Service arrang
ing the program.
Musical numbers' were supplied
by a trio, Kathy Weller, Diana
Minger and Betty Tucker; a duet
Verna Johnson and Rosemary
Patterson and solos' by Lorraine
Cunningham.
Mrs. W. T. Graves, speaking
for mothers, gave a very interest
ing account of the pioneer ex
periences of her motherin-law.
Judy Towne, speaking for the
daughters, presented some of the
contrasts in the life of a bride
today as compared to
that of the pioneers of 100
years ago. Kathy Minger pre
sented a delightful reading as a
tribute to her youthful mother, |
Mrs. Charles Minger, and present- I
id her with a bouquet of spring I
flowers.
Refreshments of cookies, tea,
coffee and punch were served
from beautifully appointed tables
with Miss Toni Monaco serving
coffee, Miss Verna Johnson tea
and Miss Judy Aldrich, punch.
