Hascall Family Purchases Farm MIST — The Hascall family have bought a farm up above Vernonia and moved away from the original Clyde Johnson place. Mrs. Julie Wiester and Mr. and Mrs. Al Cavanaugh were motor ists to Portland one day last week. Dave Banzer is home from the hospital and fe?ling quite a lot better. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Devine were in Clatskanie Friday to help their granddaughter Cheryl celebrate her birthday. Sunday dinner guests at the Sam Devines were Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hixtgel and children from Portland. Mr. and Mrs. John Crawford visited Thursday evening with the Sam Devines. Lincoln Peterson was in the village one day last week. Mrs. Sam Devine and Mrs. Max Oblack motored to Forest Grove one day last week to help Mrs. Robert Kyser celebrate her birthday. DR. The meeting opened with a devotion al lesson on the subject of mis sions which was led by Mrs. F. M. Knoll. During the business session, fi nal reports were heard on the re cent rummage sale. Also, a re port was heard to the affect that the church roof had been repair ed by Frank Morris and had been paid for by the Ruth Circle. Discussion was heard on the suggestion that th? Ruth and Martha Circle merge with both advantages and disadvantages of such a move being presented. Each Circle will meet separately for further discussion before a decision is reached Reports from the family night dinner held at the church Oc tober 9 were to the effect that a number of teachers were present as guests and that a very enjoy able evening resulted. The Har vest Home service was announc ed. Following adjournment, the hostess served pumpkin pi1 and coffee. The next meeting will be at the home of Mis.
