Mr. and Mrs. O. T. Bateman and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Bateman of Olympia will leave this week »nd for Covington, Oklahoma to visit Mrs. Emma Bateman, mo ther of the two men. Mrs. Elsie Stevens of Hillsboro will stay here with the Bateman boys while their parents are away Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Thomas. Mrs. Lois Clark and Mrs. Alice Malmsten were in Portland Sun day for a birthday dinner hon oring Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Thom as at the apartment of Miss Mary Anne Clark and Miss Gladys Winn On the way home, they were among those who saw the display of the Northern Lights Mr. and Mrs. Ben Fowler took their son Allan to Corvallis Sun- oay where he is attending Ore 1 gon State college. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bledsoe of Santa Cruz, California have been spending several weeks at their property in Riverview. Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Fletcher drove to Eugene Sunday to take their son Danny there to enter University of Oregon. David and Patti Ann Peterson from Forest Grove are spending this week with their grandpar ents, Mr. and Mrs Marion Steers Mrs. Ruth Sullivan came home Saturday from Tuality hospital where she had undergone sur gery Monday of last week and is completing her recuperation at home Mrs. Cecil Johnson is tak ing her place at Millers while she is ill. Mrs. L. L. Wells look her daughter Ruby to Eugene Sun day. She is entering the Uni versity of Oregon as a freshman Mrs. Wells also visited her broth er John M Beck and family. Mrs. Art Jacobs underwent surgery at Tuality Community hospital at Hillsboro Friday and is recovering in a satisfactory manner. Mr. and Mr. L. H. Thomas have moved from their home on Weed avenue to the apartment upstairs in the Fuiten Mortuary building. They are the resident managers for Mr Fuiten and may bt contacted at HA 9-3725. Mr. and Mrs. E. E Garner are mov ing from the Mellinger place on Stoney Point to the Thomas house Mr. and Mrs. Earl Spofford and family from Tacoma visited here with his parents, Mr and Mrs. Dudley Spofford, last week end. Miss Betty Lou Sauer who is now working in Portland as in formation operator for the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph com pany, spent Tuesday and Wed nesday here with her parents, Mr and Mrs Alois Sauer. Mr. and Mrs. Selwyn Graves will move soon to Vaughn, Ore gon where he is being transfered by the Internationa) Paper com pany for whom he works as elec trician Mrs. F. M.
