FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH Timber Church To Show Film The Timber Friends church of Timber announces that this Sun day evening, April 21st, at 7:15 the outstanding film, "Martin Lu ther" will be shown. The early hour has been set because of the length of the picture which is one hour and forty minutes. This is the story of the father of the reformation, taking place in the early part of the 16th cen tury in Germany. The film has been widely acclaim d as perhaps the most outstanding religious do. cumentary film every produced. On Sunday morning, the an nual Sunday school Easter pro gram will be presented by the scholars of the Sunday school. The pastor of the church, Harold Ankeny will be speaking at the 11:00 hour on the subject, “A visit to the Tomb," with the text derived from Matthew 28:6. The new church, not yet fin ished has set the dedication ser vice for July 14, 1957 with the general superintendent of North west Friends churches, Dean Gregory, bringing the message at that time. The public is cordially invited to attend all of the services of the church. Catholic Church Lists Easter Observances Good Friday will be observed at St. Mary's Catholic church here with confessions from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and the stations of the cross at 3:00 p.m. On Easter Sunday, the services will be at 11:00 a.m. Local Church Secretary Attends Press Workshop Mrs. John Danielson, press sec retary for the Vernonia Seventh- day Adventist church, attended a press workshop last week end in Portland. She will give a progress report to the church at an early date.
