In the list of sorority pledges during the final rush period at Oregon State college is the name of Miss Margaret Buckley who has been pledged to Alpha Gam ma Delta. , Listed among the top ten seni ors who received scholastic awards at Willamette University at Salem this week is George Bleile, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bleile of Roseburg who were for merly Vernonia residents. Gene R. Wall of Reedsport, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wall who moved from Vernonia to Reeds port last year, has been chosen for membership by Thanes, soph, omore men’s service society at Oregon State college on basis of scholarship, cooperation, and ser vice to OSC. Each men’s living group on the campus is repre sented by at least one member of the service organization. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Wood. Lyle Wilkins, AlDn Fowler and Jim Lamb were at Jantzen Beach Saturday for the state marble tournament. Five people had identified num bers at Brunsmans by Wednes day morning. They were E. L. Fetherston moved into the former Parrish home last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Art Kirk and Mrs. George Kirk visited George Kirk at Washington county hospital Sunday evening. Mrs. Harold Shipley and Mrs. Robert Pollock were in Hillsboro Wednesday to visit at the home of Mrs. Shipley’s mother. On their way home they called on her sister, Mrs. Thelma Vanda- hay in Banks. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Bledsoe were Sunday visitors of their aunt, uncle and grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wienecke and Mrs. Edith Bledsoe. Mrs. Esther Hunteman visited with Mrs. Thora Birt Thursday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Thacker were Sunday visitors at the home of her brother and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Stowell in Button. Mr. and Mrs. Art Kirk spent the week end in Portland at the home of their daughter and son- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Shafer. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Tisdale, their daughter, Mrs. Sam Beck and children drove to Prospect Sunday, where Mr. and Mrs. Beck will live in the future.
