> Illness Causes Stay in Hospital Representatives to Seek Reelection Again Elderly Couple Changes Home NATAL Ruben Lindsay is seriously ill and in the Jones hospital in Hillsboro. Their son, Clarencs, has been called home and he and Mrs. Lindsay are going in every day to s.e him. Jim Moran spent a week in Ontario i where he attended a cattle sale ■ and visited his daugh- ter. Mr. and Mrs. D.cVere Hershey and boys were last Wednesday dinner guests of her parents. Mi and Mrs. Albert Childs. Later she attended a shower in her honor. Mr. and Mrs. Sam D.vine were Sunday dinner guests of their son and family, the Clair De- vines. Other dinner guests there were Mrs. George D.vine, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hirtzel and child ren and Carl Danielson. Mr. and Mrs. Normarr Hender. son, Portland, were week end guests of his par. nts. the Clyde Hendersons. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Peterson called at the Shalmon Libel home Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. I. Dass were in Grays River recently where they visited her mother, Mrs. Cook. Mr. and Mrs. C. L Waddell attended the party at Alder Grove Saturday evening. Sunday ev.nine callers at the Sam Devines w le Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Stunkard and Marvin of Astoria. TREHARNE — Mrs. Ione Jus tice is ill in bed at this time. Mrs. Harold Peters, n and daughter. Mr and Mrs. Charles Barnes and family of Marquam, visited her sister and parents, the Justices and Kirks, Monday Mr. and Mrs. George Kirk moved in with their daught.r and son- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jus tice. January 3 to make their home with them. Mr. Kirk fr?ll while in the bathroom one day last week and hurt his hip. While there were no bones broken, the injury is painful. Mrs. Linwood Reynolds is still ill. Last week she underwent vari ous medical tests and a serious glandular disorder and possible throat ulcers were diagnosed. Doctors btliev * that her present condition has been highly aggre- vated by shock at deaths of rela- tives. The most recent was her father, John H Weaver, who pass d away in the Miami, Okla. homa Baptist hospital February- 8. Mrs. Reynolds has been re ceiving continuous treatment, but has responded slightly. Funeral servic.s were held for her father at the Miami funeral chapel on Thursday, February 11. Mr. and Mrs. Gilb.rt Meier of Great Falls, Montana are the par ents of a girl, Saundra Kay. weighing seven pounds. 15 ounces. She was born February 9 at the base hospital. He is stationed there with the air force. Mrs. Harry Weaver helped Mrs. Forrest Reynolds Monday start getting the McCool house on Rose Ave. ready to move into. In some places it was over the ruad on the way to Vernonia, one place b ing 3 inches over. At the Alma Busch farm, she and her brother, C. Whittig, took their eggs and crate: to the Joe Banzer plac. Friday night and Saturday they had to come from their home by motor boat in order to take the supply of eggs to Vernonia. Austin Dowling went to Sea side Tussday to attend the funer al services of the late Cecil Lane. Bernard Dowling accompanied his father. He was soloist at the funeral. Mrs. Chas. Webber took her father, A. R. Melis, to Portland Thursday for medical attention. They returned home Friday. Mr. Melis is to go back again soon for an operation on his eyes. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Beach from Birkenfeld were Saturday callers at George Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Al Smith from Seaside and family and her father Oscar Jones, were here in the community Saturday.
