GEMS OF THOUGHT Home in Jungle BY GEO. N. TAYLOR Portland. Oregon The young couplei pressed on inlalnd to the far-off jungle tribe. There th?y found a hot steamy climate, swarms of insects, an occasional r.ptile and storms that wrecked huts. They made friends with the native, gave medical aid. common here but unknown there They mastered the language, in vented an alphabet, translated the Bible chapters, opened a school, taught the kiddies. And from old folk and younger, came converts — th»y w ho came out and out for Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. The natives saw a Christian home set up in their midst . and that counts big in the jungle. And your messengers saw the heath m lift.d out of fear, superstition and sin. May this remind you people of God of your saving work abroad as you present Christ as the Lord and Saviour who indwells th?m with new life. This space sponsored by a family of the county.
