Closing Program of School Due Friday The closing program of the Va cation Bible school at the Naza- rene church will be held Friday night at 7:30 p.m. The children will put on a colorful and interest-, ing demonstration “a day in Bible school.” After the program refreshments will be served to the children, their parents and friends. Hall, active youth leader in the Vernonia Seventh- day Adventist church, has been named to represent his church at a forthcoming youth congress in San Francisco, California. Mr. Hall was chosen recently at a meeting of the local church. Approximately 18,000 Adventist youths from all sections of North and South America are expected to attend the San Francisco meet ing scheduled for June 16-20 in the civic auditorium there. Hall will be one of 2,000 official delegates. He will join other dele gates from Oregon who will rep resent this state at the congress. Wedding of Niece in Portland Attended RIVERVIEW — Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Hillyer attended the wed ding of their great niece, Mary Swetland, Friday evening in Port land. Mr. and Mrs. John Normand have moved into the McKee house at the Tenth street corner last week. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Solberger of Mason Hill visit d at th:- home of Mr. and Mrs. John Krinick Sunday. The Stout family is moving away from the Lew Choate farm. The Sam Devines will move on the Choate place. Mrs. Harry Reynolds has been in the Emanuel hospital where she had an operation. She has to re turn to the hospital again. Sunday guests at the N. Hansen home were Mrs. Guy Bellingham from Birkenf: Id and Mr. and Mrs. H. Thompson from Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lane from One, California and their son-in- law and daughter-in-law from Portland and grandson were in the village Sunday calling on old friends.
