Eugene Man to Fill EUB Pulpit An outstanding Oregon church layman from Eugene, Arthur D. Campbell, will be the speaker at the morning worship service Sun day at the Evangelical U.B. church as the local church Brotherhood takes charge of the service in the absence of the pastor. Mr. Campbell is a successful Christian businessman who has several times been chosen by the Oregon-Washington conference of the church to be its delegate to the General church confsrence. Ash ley, the evangelist from Salem burg, North Carolina, who is con ducting the simultaneous revival at the First Baptist church. Ser vices will be held every evening at 7:30 the remainder of this week. Sunday the evening service will be held at 6:30 instead of 7:30 to allow time for the Rev. Ash ley to catch the plane to return to his home. Time for the Sun. | day morning service will be un changed and Rev. Ashley will preach at the usual 11 o'clock hour. The messages that have been brought in the revival have been most inspiring. Everyone is cor dially invited to come to any or all of the services still to be held. Date Set for Meeting Of Missionary Group The regular missionary meet ing of the First Baptist church will be held next Tuesday, April i 28, at the home of Mrs. Mavis Patterson at 2:30 p.m. BIRKENFELD— The first day of fishing season found the Ne halem river lintd with fisher men. Some reported a good catch, but the average catch was small. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Larson and Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Baker spent the week end at Taft visiting Mr. and Mrs. Brick Lambert. Mrs. Art Bellingham, Mrs. Ted Bellingham and April attended the Fuller-Wantland wedding at Vernonia Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Don Jens.n is spending a few days at Yamhill visiting old neighbors, friends and rela tives. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thomp son and Gary visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Jepson Sunday. Gary stayed for the week with his grandparents Jack Brittner is on the sick list with flu and a very sort? throat. Louis Mills is doing his chores for him. Mr. and Mrs. M P.
