j Death Claims Treharne Lady Lower Prices For Cars Set Countering th? almost constant upward spiral of automotive prices since the war, Willys-Over- land Motors, Inc., has introduced a new and broader line of Aero Willys passengers cars for 1953 at lower prices. Word of the new models was released here this week by Coast Motors Sales. Reductions run from $88 to $185 on 2-door models. Four-door models will be brought out at prices actually below 1952 two- door prices in comparable style series. The announcement stated that the company is completing its new line by entering the popu lar field of hardtop convertibles with a smart custom car to be called the Aero Eagle and by producing for the first time a four-door sedan in three style series. First of the new four-door mo dels shown will b? the deluxe Aero Lark. The Aero Eagle hard top and a new style series, the Aero Falcon, will also be intro duced. The Eagle is pow red by the 90 hp. Hurricane 6, a different new- type F-head engine with com pression ration of 7.6 to 1 that operates on regular gasoline. Its efficiency is indicated by the fact it produces .560 horse power per cubic inch of displacement, rat ing almost the same as the Cadil lac engine and far surpassing vir tually all other automobile en gines mad? in the U.S. The extraordinary gas economy of this car has been demonstrated over and over by owners, dealers and independ.nt testers. Forex- ample, a 1 ading popular scien tific magazine recently polled 1,000 Aero Willys owners who reported that thsy are averaging over 27 miles per gallon of gas in country driving under all weather and road conditions. Presenting the greatest mod rn aid to parking in crowded streets, the Aero Willys is the only car from which all four fenders can be plainly se n by the driver. j I ' • i | j TREHARNE — Neighbors and bur Thacker home Sunday. I fully realize our farming activities are limited However, with our small acreages we can only hope for a small Gard.n of Eden so to speak. Yes, I mean irrigation. I will not invest approximately $4000 for irrigation only to find I am taking water from a stream which already needs more water to sustain fish life therein dur ing fall months. 1.
