May 14. 1937 .A Vernonia day to celebrate completion of the dam and ath letic field was suggested at the chamber of commerce meeting Tuesday noon in the Masonic Temple, This would replace the original suggestion of a Fourth of July celebration, which wa, dropped because of desire on the part of many citizens to spend the Fourth out of town. No definite time for the celebration was decided upon. Organization of a Junior Rifk club was decided upon at a meeting of the Vernonia Gun club May 7 in the Legion hall Jewel] Lloyd, Happy Thompson and J W.
