He is at his home on Stoney Point now. He is very much improved. Mr. and Mrs. Hughley Jones are the parents of a daughter, Virginia Elaine, born June 23 at 8:17 p.m. at the Madigan army hospital, Bremerton. She weigh ed six pounds, nine ounces. He is in the service and stationed at Tacoma. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schonbeckler of Vernonia. Mr. and Mrs. James Q. Davis are the parents of a boy, James Alton, bom at the Lloyd Mater nity Home. He weighed eight pounds. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Weidman and Mr. and Mrs. Quentin Davis. Robert and Paul Weidman, sons of Mr. and Mrs. P. Weidman, are visiting their sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Harvey at Seattle, Washington. Mrs. Dorthea Pearson and granddaughter, Marsha Gram, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Johnson and family on a picnic Wednesday at Jennings Lodge. Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Horn of Spokane, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Elwell, Rainier, and Rocky Horn were recent dinner guests of Mrs. Bill Hom and daughter. Mrs. George Alton and son, Steven, from Campo, Colorado were Thursday evening guests of Mrs. Horn. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Berger- son and children of Seattle were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Meyers and family Thursday. They also visited his mother, Mrs. Mathilde Bergerson. They left Friday. Mrs. Bill Horn and daughter, Judi-Faye, spent the Fourth with Mr. and Mrs. Don Clanton and family at St. Helens. Mr. and Mrs. George Peters and son, Jim, returned Friday from a vacation trip to the middle west and east. They visited Mr. Peter’s mother in West Liberty, Iowa, and relatives in Chicago, Illinois, Washington, D.C., Reidsville, North Carolina and Stockton. California. Word received here Monday indicated that Mrs. John Hollett, who is making her home in Salem with her daughter, Mrs. Cleo Dodd, fell and suffered a broken hip. She is in the Mem orial hospital, Salem, and her condition is not good. Miss Gloria Bohnftehn from Shrevesport, La., returned home Wednesday. She was visiting her father, Albert Bohnftehn, and her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. M. Gründen. She was here two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Connie Anderson were in San Francisco last week end to see their son, Kenneth, who is stationed there. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Burrow were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Judd Greenman from Tuesday, staying over the Fourth. The Mike Andersons had as their guests this week, Mr. and Mrs. Ennis Lind and son, Ron nie, of Vancouver, Washington, Mrs. W. P. Ryan from Beaumont, Texas, Miss Carrie Bradley and Miss Nellie Bradley and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Andrus from Lake Charles, Louisianna. They are four aunts of Mrs. Mike Ander son.
